Common Purpose for a Unique School

The Focus Academy PTO supports the school through volunteering, fundraising, and other efforts. The PTO provides invaluable support for the annual Focus Academy Gala. The PTO also sponsors Parent Education Seminars throughout the year on topics of interest to parents of special needs students. Dad Squad is a group that concentrates on providing a social outlet for parents and students together.

In the past the PTO purchased two ball chairs for each of the classrooms as their end of the year gift to students and teachers. The chairs are very popular with students, and allow movement and bouncing to settle those that need extra sensory input. Other gifts to the school include convertible bench/picnic tables for the outdoor field.

The PTO manages its own closed group Facebook page; request access through that site to see updates through your newsfeed.

All parents are welcome to attend the monthly meetings and/or the breakfasts! Stop in, say hi, and find out what's happening. Links for the virtual Zoom meetings will be added in the week preceding the meeting.
